Mario Batali's Eataly

This tour begins with tastings at Caffe Lavazza and Eataly, Mario Batali’s epic artisanal Italian food emporium. Eataly is housed in what was the Toy Building. The Toy Building became a center for the toy industry during World War I, following restrictions on imports from the traditional European manufacturers. See the gorgeous architecture, learn more neat facts and experience this amazing market on the tour.

Award-winning pastry

Breads Bakery is a New York bakery dedicated to producing artisanal, handmade breads using traditional baking techniques. We sample some of their award-winning goods. "As soon as the babkas emerge from the oven, which they do at least three times a day, Scheft's team bathes them in sugar syrup, ensuring a crisp, burnished crust and a rich, chocolate-veined interior that remains tantalizingly moist for days." --New York Magazine.
