Assets panel#116

Planning to add an Assets panel, similar to Rive 1. When you drag and drop files into the Editor, they’ll go into the Assets panel. You can then drag them where you want on the stage (or into an existing artboard).

This is a first step to supporting #29 and #69.

Good, this asset panel was very useful thing. On the same place up we have the artboard content and hierarcy tab. Can they be merged so the hierarchy of elements is as they are placed on the artboard? Do we need separated hierarchy tab? Why not just have artboard list and where something is on the top then it showe on the first plan, etc.

Hi @Martina Wolna not sure what you mean, can you share a screenshot? Is it possible you’re looking at the old version of Rive? The hierarchy doesn’t have tabs in the new version of Rive.

grouping, folders, organization would be so helpful too.

Assets panel now supports SVG, PSD, PNG, JPG, and WebP. We have removed the option to drag-drop SVGs into the Hierarchy, and replaced this with support for drag-drop SVGs into the Assets panel (or using the “+” button in the Assets panel). Our intention was to make the import process consistent across image & PSD assets.
