Ability to hide Bones#409

A

When working with bones it could be beneficial to be able to hide them to have an unobstructed view of the object(s) being animated. I believe currently the eye-toggle in the Hierarchy does nothing for bones, which seems unintentional.

@Amadeus Maximilian check out this option in the visiblity menu. We should rename Nodes to Bones to make this easier to discover.

So that’s what that option does. 😂 Thanks! Is there a shortcut for that? 🤔

I do still think though that the visibility toggle in the Hierarchy should have an effect or not be there then. Right now it’s just a useless control and maybe it could be beneficial to show / hide bones on a per-rig basis?

No shortcut yet, but we’re open to adding one!

The visibility in the Hierarchy toggles visibility of drawables nested under the bones. This is consistent with how it works with groups in the hierarchy. It should also hide the visibility of the bone though.

Fair enough, that makes sense, I guess I didn’t notice since I just bound bones to vertices of objects “outside” of the bones. 👍

Somewhat related: we used to have an option to Cmd + click on any eye toggle to only hide that single item (and not affect nested items). I think that would be useful to bring back.
