Sofrito

Cooking has always been very important to our family. In fact, the first question that we usually ask when somebody comes back from a trip, a wedding or an event was: “How was the food?” We organize our trips based on what we might eat. It’s just the way we do things. It’s the most natural thing in the world. We often eat together, and we love to try new things. It’s been that way since I was a kid…We will start by preparing a slow-cooked Sofrito and the stock, two of the key processes for the perfect Paella.

Tapas

While we wait for this, we will have some time to show you how to prepare some Spanish tapas, as a snack. We’ll slice jamon and eat it in the traditional way, with pan con tomate or tomato bread. We’ll then cook the Paella, so you can take a bit of homecooked Spanish gastronomy home with to show your friends and family. It’s an interactive class, set in the beautiful setting of a homely, secret Catalan garden.

This is really one of the most authentic experiences you can have in Barcelona, and if you’re a foodie like we all are, then you won’t want to miss out.

Enjoy!
