Are you passionate about building better software tools? Do you want to support scientists to run better studies and encourage open scientific practices? Come and join Open Science Tools in building better tools for ethical, efficient, open science.

We are looking for a JavaScript Developer with expertise in hardware-accelerated graphics in JavaScript (WebGL, Pixi.js or similar) to join us in the development of our open-source, online library for behavioural and cognitive experiments, PsychoJS. PsychoJS makes it possible to run neuroscience, psychology, and psychophysics experiments in the browser. It is used by thousands of scientists and participants around the world. It is the online counterpart of the popular PsychoPy Python library.

This is an opportunity to advance the state-of-the-art in online experiments, alongside our growing team at Open Science Tools. You will work in close collaboration with the lead PsychoJS developer and with the science team, and interact with contributors and users.

You should have a degree in Computer Science or a proven track record with work experience in a relevant technical role. Motivation, the desire to push the envelope, and an interest in open-source software and scientific progress, are essential.

At Open Science Tools we believe in a diverse workforce to match our diverse users. We are particularly keen to see applications from candidates typically underrepresented in software development and scientific fields.
